How To Book LATAM Flights with Ease

If you are planning to travel with LATAM Airlines then here are majorly two ways through which you can book your LATAM Airlines flights smoothly with ExperianAirfare-

5. Review the list of LATAM flights and choose the one that best fits your schedule and budget. Click "Select" to proceed.

6. A new page will open with the details of your selected flight, including baggage fees and cancellation policies. Carefully review this information before continuing.

7. You will be prompted to enter the full name, date of birth, and contact information for each passenger. Make sure this information is accurate to avoid any issues at the airport.

8. You will then be asked to enter your payment information. Once you have entered all the required information, click "Book Now" to complete your purchase.

9. After you complete the booking, you will receive an email with your flight details and a confirmation number.

If you prefer to book your LATAM airlines flights with personalized assistance then you can do so by contacting their phone support. 

1. To book your LATAM flights or for any queries call the dedicated assistance at +1-866-570-0234. 

2. Once connected, listen carefully to the automated menu options. You will likely need to select an option related to new bookings, reservations, or speaking with a representative. 

3. When you connect with a representative, state that you wish to book LATAM flights and provide them with all the travel information you gathered before calling, like departure and destination, travel dates, number of passengers, and passenger details.

5. After reviewing the representative will present you with available options and let them know about baggage allowance and fees, seat selection options etc.

LATAM Airlines Manage Booking

LATAM Airlines Seat Selection Policy

• Seat selection may be free or have an extra fee, depending on the fare purchased.
• Seats can be reserved when purchasing the ticket, in the My Trips section with the reservation code, by calling the Contact Center, at LATAM Travel customer services offices, or directly at the airport.
• If a seat is not selected, LATAM Airlines will randomly assign one 48 hours before the flight.
• For passengers traveling with a minor, two seats will be randomly assigned together (one for the minor and one for an adult from the same reservation) 48 hours prior to flight departure, without an associated charge. If preferred seats are desired, a cost will be associated.
• Passengers must be between 15 and 60 years old, not pregnant, not in charge of small children, and possess the necessary physical, auditory, visual, and cognitive abilities to manage emergency exits and follow crew instructions. They must also understand instructions in Portuguese or English (for LATAM Airlines Brasil flights) or Spanish or English (for other LATAM flights). 

Fares Including Seat Selection:

• Full (Economy cabin): Includes Standard seat selection.
• Premium Economy (Premium Economy cabin): Includes Premium seat selection.
• Premium Business (Premium Business cabin): Includes Premium seat selection.

Fares with Extra Cost for Seat Selection:

• Basic (Economy cabin)
• Light (Economy cabin)

Seat Upgrade Policy of LATAM Airlines

LATAM Airlines offers cabin upgrades to Premium Economy or Premium Business cabins. The main requirement is to have a ticket in the Economy cabin, either paid for or redeemed with LATAM Pass miles.

You cannot request a Cabin Upgrade if:

• The ticket reservation has not been paid.
• You have selected the Basic fare.
• You are a minor (traveling with an adult or using the UMNR service).
• You have requested special services (wheelchairs, pets in cabin/hold, service animals, emotional support animals).
• You are traveling with special equipment in the cabin (musical instruments), unless transported in the hold.
• Upgrade by Auction: Place a bid for the amount you are willing to pay for a chance to travel in a premium cabin. You are only charged if your offer is accepted.
• Instant Upgrade: Purchase this type of upgrade from 45 days up to 12 hours before your flight. This is done through the "My Trips" section by selecting "Bid for Cabin Upgrade" and then "Instant Upgrade." The charge is immediate and non-refundable.

LATAM Airlines Change Flight policy

• Passengers can modify their flight dates or destinations, provided their ticket fare conditions permit such changes.
• The cost to change a flight may include: A change fee, depending on the fare type. Any difference in fare between the original and new flight. These details can be reviewed in the “Ticket Change” section under My Trips.
• Changes can be made up to 1 hour and 40 minutes before the scheduled departure for both domestic and international flights.
• If your journey has started, you can still request changes. The options available will depend on the fare conditions of your ticket.

LATAM Airlines Flight cancellation Policy

• Passengers have the right to cancel their ticket and request a refund, subject to the fare conditions and the time of cancellation.
• If your flight is canceled or rescheduled by LATAM, you are entitled to a full refund for unused services.
• Refunds for unused boarding fees are available even if the ticket is non-refundable.
• Refunds are processed within 30 days from the original scheduled travel date.

LATAM Airlines Baggage Policy

Here is the following information on the LATAM Airlines baggage allowance which will help you in packing your baggage:

Carry on Baggage: 

• All passengers traveling in Light, Full, Standard, Premium Economy and Premium Business fares are allowed to carry 1 carry-on bag that is stored in the upper compartment of the aircraft. 
• The maximum dimensions for carry-on bags are: Height= 55 cm x Length= 35 cm x Width=25 cm, including pockets, wheels, handle, etc. (21.7 x 13.8 x 9.8 in). 
• The maximum weight for a carry-on bag is 12 kg (26 lb) if you are travelling in the Economy cabin, and 16 kg (35 lb) if you are travelling in the Premium Economy or Premium Business cabin. 

Checked Baggage: 

• The maximum weight of checked baggage allowed is each checked baggage item must weigh no more than 23 kg (51 lb), per passenger. 
• Each checked baggage item must be no more than 158 linear cm (62.2 in), adding height + length + width. 
• Fare cabins that include checked baggage are Standard (Economy cabin), Full (Economy cabin) Premium Economy (Premium Economy cabin) and Premium Business allows 2 checked baggage. 
• Fares that do not include checked baggage are Basic and Light fare in (Economy cabin). 

Excess or Oversize Baggage: 

• Each checked bag can weigh up to 45 kg (99.2 lbs) and have maximum dimensions of 300 linear cm (118.1 in).
• If your baggage exceeds the standard weight or size limits, you'll incur extra charges, which vary based on factors like route, season, and timing of purchase.
• Items such as sports equipment, musical instruments, televisions, or monitors are considered special baggage. These can weigh up to 45 kg (99.2 lbs) per piece and have dimensions up to 300 linear cm (118.1 in).

LATAM Airlines Check-in Information

If you bought a national flight directly from LATAM website and it is operated by LATAM, then you can do the check-in automatically and your boarding pass will be available in My Trips or in the app 48 hours before your flight. If you are traveling with only a carry-on bag, you can board directly. If you travel with checked baggage, label your suitcases in our self service kiosks and go to our counter to check them. You can check-in 48 hours before and up to 2 hours before your first departure flight. If passengers prefer to check in at the airport, LATAM offers counter check-in services. Check-in times vary by route, but passengers are advised to arrive at least 3 hours before international flights and 2 hours for domestic flights.

LATAM Airlines Unaccompanied minor Policy 

• Children 0 to 7 years old must travel accompanied by an adult over 18 years old or an emancipated teenager. The UM service is generally not available for this age group.
• Children 8 years old until the day before turning 12 years old must travel with an adult over 18 years old or an emancipated teenager. If they travel alone, the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is mandatory.
• Teenagers 12 years old until the day before turning 18 years old may travel alone by presenting the required documentation for the relevant country. The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is optional for this age group.
• The UM service can generally be purchased for direct flights (no connection) operated solely by LATAM.
• For teenagers (12-17 years old) opting for the UM service on connecting flights, the flights must be 100% LATAM, the connecting flight cannot be the last flight of the day (unless it's the only flight of the day), and connections cannot exceed 4 hours at the same airport. All flights must be under the same reservation code.
• For flights within Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and flights to or from the United States, the UM service includes real-time tracking of the trip with the Child Tracker tool.
