Turkish Airlines Seat Selection Policy

• Passengers can select their seats when booking a flight or up to six hours before departure. This can be done through the Turkish Airlines website or mobile app.
• Seat selection is free for all Business Class passengers on both domestic and international flights.
• Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite Plus members receive free standard seat selection.

• For refundable tickets, a cancellation fee is typically deducted from the refund amount. The fee varies by route (domestic vs. international) and fare class. For non-refundable tickets, you may only get back the airport taxes.
• If you booked a flight using Miles&Smiles miles, you can cancel it, but a fee will be charged to redeposit the miles into your account.

Turkish Airlines Baggage Policy

Excess or Oversize Baggage: 

• If a passenger exceeds the baggage allowance they will be required to pay the additional fees will be 150 TRY per kilogram for Turkish Airlines domestic direct flights and 170 TRY per kilogram for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus direct flights. 
• This fee will be 210 TRY for Turkish Airlines domestic connecting flights and 220 TRY for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus connecting flights (excluding AJet flights).

Turkish Airlines Check-in Information

It is recommended that you arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure for domestic flights and 3 hours before departure for international flights. • Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign an "Unaccompanied Minor Passenger Carriage Authorization" form. You will also need to provide photo identification for both the guardian dropping off the child and the one picking them up at the destination.
• You must arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure for check-in, which must be done at the counter.
• A parent or legal guardian must remain at the airport until the flight has officially departed.
• An airline staff member will escort the child through security and to the boarding gate, where they will be handed over to the cabin crew.
• Upon arrival, a staff member will escort the child from the aircraft and hand them over to the designated person named on the authorization form. The designated person must present a valid photo ID for verification.
